1. Before buying
Check the product requirements, orientation, included files and sensor dependencies. These products are designs for RTSS, not standalone monitoring applications.
2. Buy and download
Create or sign in to your account, verify your email, purchase an overlay or activate the monthly plan, then open My Downloads. Download the ZIP and the product setup guide.
3. Back up your current layout
Save a copy of your current .ovl and any associated assets before making changes. Do not replace unrelated RTSS application profiles.
4. Extract the package
Extract to a permanent folder. Keep the .ovl, images and other assets together in the structure described by the package author. Install only the included fonts that the author has permission to redistribute.
5. Open OverlayEditor
In RTSS, enable the OverlayEditor plugin if it is not available. A common route is Setup → Plugins → OverlayEditor.dll → Setup. The exact labels may vary by RTSS version. In OverlayEditor use its Open command to open the supplied .ovl layout.
6. Replace an existing design only when required
Close OverlayEditor and replace the matching .ovl at the path identified in the package guide. On some installations layouts are stored under the RTSS installation directory’s Plugins/Client/Overlays folder, but confirm your actual installation and guide before copying. Reopen the layout afterward.
7. Configure data sources
Enable the sensors required by the design in MSI Afterburner, HWiNFO or the source named in the guide. Use the correct source for each metric. Missing or unsupported sensors may need adjustment.
8. Test and adjust
Preview the overlay in a compatible game, adjust size and position, and save a personal copy. Follow game and anti-cheat policies.
